St. Andrews Church

St. Andrew's Parish Church is the Church of England place of worship in the ecclesiastical parish of Cotton; it is part of a group of churches known as the "Bacton Benefice" which includes Bacton, Cotton, Wyverstone, Wickham Skeith, Old Newton and a chapel at Gipping.

Services are held twice each month (on the second (Holy Communion) and fourth (Morning Worship) Sundays at 11.00 a.m., with a number of special services in addition. All services are listed each month in the Parish & Community News.

The church is open for visitors, private prayer and quiet time, every Friday between 10am and 5pm. during the summer (4pm. in winter).  At other times by arrangement, or on the off-chance by calling the churchwarden!

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is responsible for the administration of church parochial matters; other than the above, the members are presently (2015): Mrs C. Marston, Mrs D. Stevenson, Mrs G. Lowndes-Toole & Mrs J. Lowndes-Toole. The Priest in Charge is the Chair of the PCC.
